We hope you are watching The Fifteen Billion Pound Railway<\/a>, the three-part TV documentary series, made by Windfall Films<\/a>, and currently being shown on BBC2. It is a fascinating series “following a team of more than 10,000 engineers and construction workers as they race to build a brand new railway under London – Crossrail – London’s new Underground.<\/p>\n

“Programme 2 in the series, showcased Hochtief Murphy jv’s contract<\/a>, C310 \u2013 Thames Tunnel Plumstead to North Woolwich, concentrating on the tbm drive, and Vinci Construction UK Ltd<\/a>‘s contract, C315 \u2013 Connaught Tunnel refurbishment, concentrating on rebuilding the tunnel under the Royal Docks. If you did watch the programme, you will have noticed one of our Putzmeister M20 mobile concrete pumps<\/a> working, in the race against time, to get one section of the Connaught Tunnel finished.<\/p>\n
