On 24 April, the Prime Minister, David Cameron, visited our Reading contract, to highlight the government\u2019s commitment to upgrading Britain\u2019s rail infrastructure. On his visit, the Prime Minister saw for himself the latest works to remove a bottleneck near Reading station. The Reading Elevated Railway is a part of the \u00a3850 million improvements to the Reading network, which is one of the busiest in the country. <\/p>\n

This improvement is designed to improve train journeys for hundreds of thousands of hardworking people and also to help local businesses by stimulating economic growth. Camfaud Concrete Pumps<\/a> is a key supplier to the main contractor, Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd<\/a>, on the Reading Elevated Railway. The contract has a workforce of 400 people and, in part thanks to several hardworking Camfaud pump operators, is running a year ahead of schedule and under budget.<\/p>\n

On the day David Cameron visited, we supplied a Putzmeister BSF32.16H, 32 metre boom pump which is clearly visible behind the Prime Minister.
